HDC Weekly Debate: Is TP-ing someone's house fun?
 

I am sure most of you know about this. A friend called me up recently and sounded very upset about his house getting TP-ed. His whole house and yard were literally full of rolls and rolls and rolls (WADS!)...and he was having a real hard time cleaning it up.

It is a funny gag, of course. Especially to the ones who do it, and get away with it. Not to the one who suffers, UNLESS he is a good sport and takes it in his stride.

So, have your say. Good, bad, fun, light-hearted...or avoidable?

I think it's fun and harmless (mostly) when you're in jr. high or so.
But when I see TP'd houses in my college campus, I think it's just a little juvenile.

Never done it and never seen it done but at the end of the day, it's someone property. I'd say it's just pretty lame. Don't see the fun in it.

Being a homeowner I would have to say its not fun.Its never happened to me and I never did it as a kid. I always had respect for other peoples belongings.

If it ever did happen to me I would catch the little bastards and put the toilet paper where it belongs.....IN THEIR ASSES!

I remember one of my friend's house got TP-ed a couple years back. The bastards used superglue all over the wads of paper and glued them all over the front porch, ceiling, chimneys, windows and doors.

Took him almost 8 months to get it cleaned back to shape again. And re-coloring the exteriors too.

Annoying wont be a word to describe the exact feeling. Really pissed-off would be more apt.

Worse cases include spraying tampons, kleenexes and garbage dumps all over the lawns/yards.

For the life of me, I cant see how its funny to anyone, even to the asses doing it. And strangely, I HAVE met 1-2 people who took it all in their stride, saying it was a bit of harmless fun.

Well that's different. Superglue and tampons are usually not included in TPing- that's just straight up damage of private property.

Key word being - usually. The police have included that under TP-ing many times. For them its practically the same.
