i just bought a 160 gig hardrive, and my cousin owns a video store (sells videos not a rental chain or nothing) and well i love horror movies, and he allows me to borrow anything they have in the back, so in other words any movies they have 4 or more copies of i can get for free, and i want to fill this hardrive to make a horror collection, both classic and new are welcome, scary and just plain awesome, here is a list of what i have or am in the process of getting

IT
Nightmare on Elm Street
Ammityville horror (the 2005 one, decent bit im sure someone will say the original is better, which i need to see for myself)
Jacobs Ladder
The exorcism of Emily Rose
Jeepers Creepers
Event Horizon
Evil Dead 1 2 and 3
The Ring
Blair witch 2
30 Days of Night
Hellraiser collection (1-7 or 8 i belive)
Seven
Wicker Man
The Brood

so what should be added to this list?

at 160 gigs, if you are doing straight dvd rips, you will probably only be able to hold about 30 or so movies (DVD iso rips are generally just over 4 gigs, and a 160 HD is actually going to be closer to 140-150 gigs, i dont know why they do that...)

On the other hand, if you are ripping them to AVI files, you are looking closer to 600 MB-1 gig per movie, but without any dvd features like commentaries and so on, but will give you a bigger collection if you dont care about that stuff.

However, you should just buy the movies if you liek them, so, you know, the film makers can get some money for their work and continue to make them.

completely agree, you should most definitely buy any movie that you enjoy so that you may continue to enjoy it. Also like mentioned above, DVD rips are massive files and is it really worth it for only a handful? Additionally, most of the movies you had listed are pretty cheap at websites or in stores like Best Buy.
