PSP Yay or Nay
Fathers Day is coming up and my kids have no clue what to get me. I'm thinking of telling them to pitch in and get me a PSP. I'm looking for pros and cons here.
Thank you in advance.:D |
PROS
its AMAZING CONS none |
The PSP is amazing. It's like having PS2 in the palm of your hands. There really is nothing bad about the PSP. Being able to upload videos from the net onto it, mp3's, and play games all on one device is absolutely amazing.

If this was a poll, the score would be 20-0 by now...
...in favor of Yay. It's a delightful, amazing piece of gizmology. |
the PSP is my favorite technology to date.
screw the ipod, gameboy, etc ... get a PSP. |
The PSP is wicked awesome, have them get you a memory stick too. :)

I have been thinking about getting one myself. Already have a DS so that has been taking care of my mobile gaming needs up until now.
Having said that, it seems to have a different style of game predominantly to the DS, so they would complement each other well... The only reservation I have had is that they have been out for a while - wondering how long before a major update or new platform is released. I haven't heard that anything new is on the horizon. |
I say yay!
Remember a memory stick! |
It's an mp3 and movie player, with internet capabilities.
Throw in that it's (in my "as unbiased as it can be" opinion) the premier gaming system with genres to suit all ages, and a huge range...and you've got a pretty good system. Nintendo has a pretty good handheld if you're just after a straight up gaming system which is great for what it is, but the games are really aimed at an overall younger audience - it's a very "family" console, which is what nintendo does, and does well. Nice colourful easy to use games with a simple interface. For a more "serious" handheld for the mature gamer, I'd go with PSP. |
also they are really nice looking, the black ones anyway.
by the way, I know someone selling a new one that is sealed in the box. pretty sure I could get if from him for 150$. don't know if the shipping+lack of receipt would be worth it to ya though. :) (also not sure how much they are in the US, here they are close to 200$ after tax) |
