i feel so strongly about this that i felt it warranted a thread.

I dunno why but I could never get into Futurama the same way I did the Simpsons. It wasn't that I found it unfunny as it wasn't bad.

i completely wrote it off (before actually seeing it) as something i wouldnt be interested in .. some weak extension of a better show ..

after seeing a couple of episodes i have to say that i love it way more than the simpsons .. my wife and son too - we all watch them over and over again ..

Doctor: Heart.
Zoidberg: Take it, I've got four of them.
Doctor: Stomach contents: one deviled egg.
Zoidberg: A deviled egg? (eats noisily)
Doctor: The same deviled egg.

Dr. Zoidberg: Really?

Dr. Zoidberg: Young lady, I am an expert on humans. Now pick a mouth, open it and say "brglgrglgrrr"!


And the 'Zoidberg homeowner' thing...His shell burns down underwater because of Bender's cigar...Hmm...

I kinda felt the same way.....actually, about the time this came out I stopped watching The Simpsons on a regular basis. Not sure why.......I suppose I kind of stopped watching TV on a regular basis.

I honestly can't remember the last time I watched television (and it has nothing to do with my AGE :p)...BUT...I have all of the Futurama episodes, Simpsons Treehouse Of Horrors, Invader Zims, Metalocalypses and Aqua Teen Hunger Forces on DVD, so I'm good to go

MY television is a device that works with a dvd player or vcr to play movies or one of the aforementioned shows (and occasionally Happy Tree Friends, but you can only watch those so many times) :)

"Apparently, I've been making fine jewelry for years" :D

Not Zoidberg, but the scene from the santa episode just popped into my head where bender comes down the chimney and Leela tells the professor "Don't shoot him, remember... it's Bender!" And the second he comes into view he blasts him with the shotgun.

Or my favorite line of all time from the show:

"Nobody drives in New York... There's too much traffic!"

Zoidberg: Listen to me fry! Just because you think your a robot doesn't make you a robot. After all, I think I'm a doctor but that doesn't make me a doctor... these fancy clothes do!
