Help, I'm stuck In a Age with endless Saw Sequels!! And I NEED OUT!!

Since I can remember, I have honestly had honest love for horror movies. There were some great times going with a buddy or alone on my bike, to the videoflicks in our neck of the woods to rent five horror movies which I'd watch back to back. Yup, times were diffrent back then and let me tell you they had a far better selection of vintage and obscure B-flicks that you won't find today at any of those bigger names. I still search for those rare campy 80's flicks, the Vhs are out there somewhere. I am 20 years of age and feel that I wound up in the wrong station because I feel sick to my stomache with my own generation and note the downward spiral of todays culture. By joining this site just hope to talk to some other people who know there stuff about the genre. Favorites would be...Evil Dead 2 (huge Bruce fan), Basket Case, The Lost Boys, Hellraiser, Return of the Living Dead. Love cult movies ie) Blood Sucking Freaks, Toxic Avenger, Phantom of The Paradise. The famous but still greats: Childs Play, Nightmare on Elm, Texas Chain, Halloween,Phantasm, Dawn of the Dead. Big fan on horrror "Tales of..." compelation movies. Lesser known B's. Point being I've seen alot, I'd like to think I've seen alot and know alot...but do I. If there's a place to meet some people who will dazzle me by recommending stuff I haven't even HEARD OF, this would be the place, wouldn't it. Todays horror flicks just don't cut it and the emphasis on the cool kids getting hacked to death which was once campy is now just tedious. Help me out guys. Need some good ones I have yet to seen and just some other people who know what horror business is all about.

"Hatchet" will remind you of old-school horror

"FEAST" is pretty cool

Excellent recommendations...Add Undead, Dead End, Dead And Breakfast, and Monster Man (2003) to those :)

I suggest Teeth, Inside, and Diary of the Dead. All three are fairly recent and well worth the watch. As long as you're not squeamish. Welcome.

I recommend checking out the general forum and reading through some of our top 100 lists- you won't finish watching all the great films there till you're of respectable age.
