The 2nd Official HDC Oscar Awards 2007-2008

Good morning HDC,

Hello and welcome to the 2nd Official HDC Oscar Awards, for the year 2007-2008.

This year was very memorable for all us horror movie lovers, because we had plenty of awesome movies, theater experiences and killer performances to root for. This could well be a turning point in the post-Y2K timeline for the genre...and lets hope it goes on to bring an upswing to the dull scheme of things in the present scenario.

As is tradition, we will start the Award ceremony with our first Award, which is the rather prestigious HDC Oscar for Best Foreign Horror Film 2007-2008. The nominees are :

The most important aspect of a movie is its screenplay. That decides the course of the entire plotline, and thats why writers can afford to go on strike for their demands, and thats why our own Sean Keller commands so much respect in HDC and in Hollywood.

Here are the nominees for Best Original Screenplay for a film, for the year 2007-08:

Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (Screenplay by Scott Glosserman and David J. Stieve)

Fido (Screenplay by Andrew Currie, Robert Chomiak and Dennis Heaton)

I agree. I thought it was boring and VERY overwrought.

Though I was rooting for Bug, personally.
