Spam Mail

I am going through and cleaning out my old email account inboxes. I have a question, why is it that all of my Yahoo! accounts have over 1,000 spam messages, but my AOL and Hotmail accounts have maybe 2-3?

Does Yahoo! intentionally spam people? My Gmail account is completely spam free.

When you sign up for a yahoo account they by default share your information with their "trusted partners." Otherwise known as anyone & everyone they can sell your info to. Several years ago when they made this change to their "privacy policy" they were highly criticized for it. Still, you have to click something when you sign up to opt out of this wonderful opportunity to recieve offers from their trusted partners.

I have one of those, something about it is just alien to me. Gmail is what I'm currently using as my primary.

yahoo is bad. i think part of the issue is that yahoo mail is one of the oldest free providers out there, so the spam engines run through yahoo first, because they are garunteed to hit millions of addresses that way.

Gmail is newer, was for a long time very exclusive, and on top of eveyrthing else, the google folks are fucking sharp. I love my gmail :) , i run my business with it.
