Dan O'Bannon

Well, we've touched upon just about every major director (both good and shitty). Let's talk writers.

Dan O'Bannon. He's one of my favorites so let's start with him.

My favorites are Lifeforce, Alien, Dead & Buried, Total Recall, and Return of the Living Dead.

O'Bannon might be one of the most influential writers of all time if you consider how Hollywood has used his Alien script as a blueprint for just about every sci-fi/action movie since. Of course O'Bannon himself ripped off It: The Terror From Beyond Space, but that doesn't count because Hollywood execs don't watch black-and-white movies.

I also like Resurrected a whole lot. Plus he seems to be just a fun film geek.

I found Life Force strangely erotic. Except for Patrick Stewart, of course
