Why did they have to close Down, i loved this channel, it was the only channel watch really, since they took Sky of Virgin and Now ABC1 Closed down :(
The Only Reason i go sky was becasue of this channel
ABC1 had all of my fav Shows on, Home Improvment, 8 Simple Rules, Hope and Faith, Less then Perfect

I never really noticed it wasn't on anymore, Im on Freeview, and was requested to "Re-tune" the box, now it's disappeared. :eek:

With regards to Freeview, this usually means another channel will replace it; I know that Virgin 1 is supposed to be starting soon - replacing "ftn", but so far no mention of a replacement for ABC 1.

What the hell is abc1 do I need a digital box to get it, or did I probably is more apropriate.

If you have Satelite/Cable or Freeview you would have got it, alas no more.

Define free view, aint it just the channels that are listed in the paper?

I was referring to the set top box or built in digital decoder in the newer TVs.

If you don't have them then you're stuck with BBC1, BBC2, ITV(1), Channel 4 and Five.

*If you don't have some form of digital viewer, then you are pretty much screwed as the whole of the UK network will have gone digital by 2012.*
