Why hasn't the storyline of gymkata inspired a horror director yet?

If you take away the bad marial art fights, you actually have a pretty decent horror story hidden inside this hilariously lame cult flick.


Gymkata - the horror movie:

A worldstar gymnast/or whatever is brought to a far away village to take part of a survival game (obviously attracted by money) together with other star atlhetes. What they don't know is that this is a game of life and death.

As the game progresses the athletes gets slaughtered one by one and only a few, including our hero, reaches what they think is their goal, the village, Only to find out that the village is infested with lunatic killer citizens, and that there's never meant to be a winner in this, so called, game.



So what do you think HDC people?

Is this a great horror idea or what? Or am i just drunk?

I'd watch it, but then again I'm not a good judge of these things, since I will watch just about anything....

Yeah reminds me of Battle Royale. Could be good, but I dont think it would be a big blockbuster horror movie. It could work as an indy flick.

GYMKATA - the forbidden dance
