Reasons why I should NEVER watch the SciFi channel....

So last week I watched the pilot for a show called Wolf Lake that I somehow completely missed the first time around when it aired on CBS. It was cancelled after only a few episodes, but I was looking forward to seeing all nine or ten of the episodes, because I actually liked it.
So I'm getting ready to sit down and watch it....and Stargate: SG-1 is on in its place. Have I lost my mind? I checked around, no I have not lost my mind, at least not completely. Its gone, off the schedule. And this is not the first time they have done this that I know of.
What the hell is wrong with these people?? Does it not occur to them that it might help gain and keep more viewers if they just made a freakin' schedule and stuck to it once in awhile?
Sorry I just had to rant a bit.

I thought the same thing more than once when they have advertised a specific movie I wanted to see and then sit down in a comfy chair (with the kids duct taped in the closet) to watch it and it's a entirely different MOVIE.....and the funny thing is...the title I wanted to watch still shows up on the channel menu thing on the bottom of the screen.

I'd watch if they still aired "Beyond Belief" from time to time. But I would go down on the owner if they started playing "Tales From The Crypt", I want to watch that show again so fucking badly.

I was about to defend this channel with some of the series I watch on it, then realized... I really don't watch anything on it.:(
It's a '5 second pause flipping thru channels' Channel.

I watch when they show The Twilight Zone, or Tales from the Darkside. And there are a few other shows I tune in for if there is nothing else on, but I don't watch SciFi much really. Mainly because if I get used to watching something, they yank it. I watched everyday when they were airing reruns of Forever Knight.....but its been gone for awhile now. I thought about checking out The Dresden Files, I read a couple of the books, and I liked them okay. But I have yet to catch even one episode of the show.
But I would watch if they brought back some of my favorites.....Tales from the Crypt is a good one, Forever Knight, Highlander, or if they would air all of the episides of Wolf Lake and Kindred: The Embraced.

Why not watch the Sci Fi Channel

The reason is that the commercials on the Sci Fi channel are interrupted by other commercials!

Or in other words the commercials are interrupted by the series and movies.

But where else do you get to see Melrose Place alumni take on sloppily CGI'ed giant animals of various kinds?

I like the CGI monsters actually. They are fun to watch. But I see them because they are already in my movie collection....Commercial free.
