Apologies if this is considered spam, or even worse, simply not a relevant topic to y'all, but I'd like to draw your attention to a horror literature contest on goChongo. If you're interested, all you need to do is 1) Sign up; 2) Create a Performer persona; 3)submit your entry.

Again, apologies if folks find the thread offensive and/or spam. We're a new website and attempting to see if we should even have a horror literature category.

Hmmm....

While this most certainly is a spammy post, it does still have 2 things going for it...

1- The author seems to realize it's spam & is apologetic about it
and
2 - It is actually releveant to things we'd discuss here at HDC. (Although an arguement could be made that it shoulda been put in the Horror Fiction Post or maybe even Filmmaker's Forums, the General Forum will suffice too I guess.)


At least he's not selling cell phones or something lame like that.

That's fair, which is why I asked. Like I mentioned, we are still attempting to figure out if there is a need for the Literature: Horror category. Beyond the go-f#ck-myself and I'm going to die commentary, I'd value your opinion about whether there are enough horror writers out there who would enjoy having an opportunity to get real feedback from their work in a contest-like platform.

Appreciate you acknowledging my motivation and at the same time having a little sympathy for what we're trying to accomplish. At the root of my original post, we would love to hear if this category is something worth pursuing.
