Loved the film from beginning to end and then watched it again. Liked the way he put disparate charctors together as in ofelia gentle and kind and vidal who is cruel and unforgiving.mercedes strong and forceful and dr. ferreira weak and accommodating and then turns them around as if saying yes you can bully us but we will turn on you and then you will be no more. I am one of those positive people who believe that what people do in life will come back to haunt them and this film reaffirmed that belief but in a special way. The depiction of pan as either monster or friend was a master stroke as life so often mirrors that.
