Calvaire (The Ordeal)

I watched this last night and thought it was really impressive. Its dark, twisted and quirky flick with some amazing atomosphere and black humour.
The story revolves around a singer whose van breaks down in the country on a way to a show and falls prey to some lunatic hicks who are definatley wired the wrong way. A Belgium version of the crazed hillbilly flick, I won't go into the details of the story because its something you just have to see to appreciate. Totally kills shit like Wolf Creek and Hostel. Anyone else checked it out?

I wanna see more. Everything I've put on since totally sucks in comparison. This is how movies should be made (invoking emotions and filling your head with indeliable imagry - cheesey cliche artfuck bullshitspeak but whatever you know the kinda flicks laugh, cry, shock.... you're alive again). The last movie that really struck me like this was The Idiots.
