Vacations
 

Supposedly, the average American takes about 2 weeks worth of vacation a year, that includes holidays i beleive.

We used to be fat lazy and stupid. Now we are fat, lazy, stupid and overworked.

How much vacation time do you get/take in a year? My vacations are going to be screwed up for a long time. i ahev only been back in the work force for 4 months now, after 3 months out of it. Believe me, if you have never been on unemployment, try not to. it is not a picnic, it is boring, and looking for work/interviewing is a pain in the ass.

Not to mention that you spend the whole time worrying if you are ever going to get a job again, and how screwed are you and your family if you dont.

This is the first year I get 2 weeks vacation (I've been hear four and a half years).

I've already taken one week and went to England. My next week is the week of Christmas and I'm going to Florida to spend the holiday with my Mom.

Fixing to take a two week vacation starting next week.

First two week vacation of my entire life.

Longest one was 6 days, 3 years ago.

We can usually take any time we need to at my job. I usually take a week give or take a few days in the summer then I take a wekk or so around Christmas time. It's pretty cool. Plus just any time I need to take a day of I usually can, and get paid for it.

29 days a year (well 30 as i've earned an extra day)

the year started in april, it's october and i've yet to take a day off yet. i'm thinking of maybe taking the whole of january off

23 days - not including stat holidays.

I get 7/8 weeks. Good ol' Uk :D

I am realllly hoping i can write for a living someday soon. working from home, writing off trips as "research". Roderick seems very happy with life.....

After almost 8 years at my job I have earned 3 weeks vacation time and 2 personal days. I get extra pay for holidays but I still have to work them...
Everyone says I get a lot of time off, but after this much time with my company I think I deserve at least a little more. But why complain? Nothing much can be done about it.
