If you look at the first line of the plot summary it says.."God disembowels himself with a straight razor.'' Sounds like it's either pretentious or confoundingly disturbing.

Im really hpoing this gets a re-release...I really want to see it, but not enough to pay $95!

The Mothman 08-19-2006 05:50 PM

you can find it for $45 at the lowest on ebay, but poeple are bidding on it like mad.

A quote from a Netflix review says; " Yes, it does indeed make "Eraserhead" look like "Ernest Saves Christmas.". Hmmmm... draws my attention.

Ernest Saves Christmas was a phenomonal film.

I've been eyeing this for a while. I heard (I think on B-D, but can't be sure) that it's due for rerelease. Wait around a bit. It'll be just like Audition: people paying $50-$100 for a movie, then it gets re-released in a better, special addition form. Don't bite; just wait. That's what I've been doing.

i tend to like having movies out there that cost a whole lot and are rare, because if you ever own it you can brag about it.

speaking of practically impossible to find movies, Violent Shit I & II is finally get released via Unearthed Films.

It is both - but mostly pretentious. It's super grainy b/m - scratch that, it's uber-grainy. It looks like a shitty print of a lost film. The art direction makes the film appear to be something even more ancient than film. Impressive effect and a true work of art, but there is no coherent story to follow and it turns into quite a bore after a while.

Even if you LOVE non-linear experimental films you probably shouldn't buy it without watching it first - but I guess that seems to be the problem. I don't think it's worth $95 But the opening scene is...psyche shattering.

Want to see something disturbing that you can get in Nextflix? Try "Shaye St. John & Kiki" I wrote the sole netflix review.
