in the spirit of vodstok's best fight scenes let's through another log on the "best of" fire. here are four to start it off:

police chase through the mall in "the blues brothers"
chase scene from "the french connection"
chase scene from "ronin"
remote control car chase scene from the dirty harry series "the dead pool"

Dont know if this counts but the one in the second Matrix film was pretty damn cool.

The Dirt bike/Truck cab canal chase in Temrinator 2 and the Helecopter/Tanker truck chase in the same movie.

it wasn't the best movie, but the chase scene from gone in 60 seconds was nice.

the chase scene from lethal weapon 4, where mel "i've gone fruit loops" gibson is hanging on to a tarp behind a truck.

the chase scenes from both borne identities

* they're not cars (i should have included all forms of transportation), but the boat chase scene from the third indian jones flick was excellent
