Another thread reminded me of this movie. I believe it is a kid's comedy about vampires. I remember liking it. I saw it a while back so it's not new, but not that old either.

It's about a young boy who becomes friends with a vampire. The boy spends a lot of the early part of the film in his bedroom, and at the bottom of his bed is a huge trunk-like case. At one point, the little boy vampire has to hide in here from the sunlight or something, and his mother bursts in.

The mother and father were mainly comic relief.

Anyways, the plot was they had to find some sort of necklace that "saved" the vampires. The boy would dream of it, I believe it was the first scene in the movie. A bunch of vampires on a beach-like setting, and a necklace held up to the moon.

I believe there was a girl vampire and a boy vampire, and his father and mother. I seem to remember Antonio Banderas.

Anyway, there was another older guy trying to foil the boy's plans to free the vampires and get the necklace for himself.

The boy had to go to a crypt and retrieve the necklace from a coffin.

I also think he had a sort of power where he could touch something have see the story behind it. This is when he touches the necklace and sees the story of the person who was buried with it.

I also seem to remember it set in Ireland or Scotland? There was a cow involved that the vampire children snacked on at one point?

Near the end the kid has the necklace and hides it wrapped in tissue and hides in under the floor boards, and then evil guy egtsa hold of it but he had switched it out with a piece of trash in the napkin the old guy got or something.

I would love to know the title. It's really bothering me. >_< Thanks.
