My daily shopping list:

Beer - St Paulie Girl

The hard stuff - Maker's Mark

Smokes - Marlboro Lights

I had to borrow your list to remember everything.

Laundry Detergent: Tide HE... We've got one of those "new fangled" washer and dryers

Fabric Softener: Bounce with Fabreeze

Dish Liquid: Palmolive

Toothpaste: Colgate Total

Toilet Paper: Charmine Ultra

Paper Towels: Bounty

Soap: Shower Gel: Cetaphil- This shit is soooo expensive, but unfortunately, I have very very sensitive skin.

Shampoo and conditioner: Pantene Clarifying and Generics: Tea Tree. Conditioner: Pantene Light Conditioning Spray, and some salon brand spray on conditioner

Mouthwash: Crest

Hair Gel: Don't use it. My mum does, and she uses Big Sexy. It's a nifty little salon brand that's going to regular market

Socks and underwear: Whatever I have a mind for.

Deoderant: Secret Platinum unscented- sensitive skin issues. It's also nice to not have stinky under arms nor really perfumey under arms.

Kitchen spray cleaner: Lysol Kitchen Cleaner- damn straight

Bathtub Cleaner: Mr. Clean bathtub moppy, stick thingy.

Window Cleaner: Alcohol? Really? I'll have to try that. Usually Windex with vinegar formula

Floor cleaner: Pinesol- again, damn straight! I love the smell of that stuff!

Carpet Deoderizer: That shit gives me a headache

Garbage Bags: That flexable stuff by Hefty or whomever

Milk: Whatever 2% organic milk has the longest shelf life.

Butter: Sweet Cream by Land O' Lakes

Eggs: Whatever organic brand is available. I'm trying to convince my folks to go with free range and organic, but so far have only convinced them to go organic.

Here's something to save everybody a LOT of money on cleaners. Get a huge bottle of bleach, whatever kind you want. Get yourself a spray bottle. Fill about a third of the bottle with bleach and the rest with water. It will clean any hard surface (except wood, but I shouldn't have to tell you that) in your home and kill every germ. Bleach is a hospital sanitizer. It will even kill the AIDS virus on contact. It doesn't smell that great, but it's extremely effective. Just some food for thought.

I always buy food for one day at a time, cuz I never know what I'm gonna have a taste for. So today I bought

steak cubes for stew
pasta
vodka sauce

Made a sweet pasta dish, I'm full as a pig... one of those fat, full pigs.

Ah, brand loyalty. You have been assimilated.

Haunted 04-28-2006 03:37 PM

Thus my recommendation to stop bowing to the corporate masters a la my parents, and start using generic chlorine bleach and water. Ah HA!

Laundry Detergent: Tide, anything else makes me itch horribly

Toilet Paper: Angel Soft of Quilted Northern

House cleaners: I am partial to good old bleach water and ajax for an abrasive.

Shampoo: Nexxus or Paul Mitchell...I have a bitch of a time finding cheap stuff that doesn't either make my hair static-y or greasy.

Liquour: Absolut Mandarin and Jack Daniels.

Underwear: Whatever looks best on the bedroom floor.

Lube: Astroglide....ky is so my mother.
