When good storms go bad

Given our recent conversations on how cool storms can be and the ones that ripped through Missouri and surrounding states, I was wondering if everyone was OK in that area. Anybody get hit or know anybody that got hit the the storms and tornadoes? Hope everyone is alive and well!

We had some badass storms here last night. Tornados also in the area, thankfully they didn't make it this far...but people in other counties around here were killed in it all, homes destroyed, ect. I stayed up all night waiting to hear what was gonna happen here just in case I had to round people up from the building to go to the basement. Anyways, all we had here was a crazy thunder and lightning storm. A lot of others in the area, including a friend of mine, weren't so lucky. Careful what you wish for.

Okay, I just wanted to say that I appologize for mentioning my desire for a "bad-ass" storm. I hadn't checked the news yesterday, and didn't realize that the midwest was bombarded with tornados and terrible storms. My appologies to you guys.

It's just that here in the upper part of the SE, we don't get many tornados, and the ones we do get are often small. Most of the time we get a lazy funnel cloud that never amounts to anything.

While I like pounding rain, terrific thunder, high winds, and lightning that rends the sky and earth, I don't think I'd be keen on a tornado in the "old skool" catergory of F3-F5.

So forgive me if I was very insensitive.:(

Don't be a smart ass. Marroe was actually pretty close to being in harm's way that night.
