The Nightmare Awards!
 

I'm thinking about making "The Nightmare Awards" on the forum. Basically, If there is interest I will open a thread with award suggestions, then once that is complete I will make those awards and then get suggestions for each (nominations) then I will post the final awards and their nominations and have voting for each award (timed). Would you guys be interested in voting and suggesting?

That would be cool, but it'd have to be moderated somehow. Like for actually voting, don't allow comments or something. Otherwise it'll turn into just another poll thread. I'd totally be down for that though. There'd have to be one central place to post all of the final results. It'd be kind of cool to know, overall, best kill or most gory or whatever.

That's just my opinion, though.

no they should have an accual award sho like that! that would be so sick! in a good way! all of the horror minds in the world together in one room! oh that would be sweet!

Sounds like the suggestion I made about the horror.com awards in the suggestion board. More than one award is a good idea for something like this, and having the forum members vote will be great. However, doing a poll is what makes it harder to do because you are limited to 10 things, and there will more than likely be more than 10 available answers...unless you break it down before running an actual poll, that way the top 10 or 4 or however many you want to do will be the only ones that can be voted for.

Well what I was thinking is have people suggest things for the awards (for example - best horror actor award then have suggestions like: Gunnar Hansen, etc...) then from the suggestions make a list (10 max) and have those be the nominations. With those nominations, make a thread to vote of one of the 10. Then after a period of time, count up the votes and make the desicion. Then have a final post with all the winners.

Ok, I think I understand what you mean now. I was thinking of something a bit more official since this is Horror.com. Sites give awards all the time and get recognized for it, making more people visit. That's why I was thinking of something more along those lines. However, I still like my idea of "Best Big boobed chick who trips and falls down in the woods award".
