as a resident of the great state of NEW YORK - I think people who say stupid things like "new yorkers suck" are just jealous (and probably live in new jersey, which really sucks!)

no. I live in ny and am in manhattan 5 days a week from 9am-11pm.

now i see your confusion - you are equating New York with NYC. . . as a proud upstater (syracuse) I can attest that outside the 5 boroughs people are perfectly normal (though we do get a bit of cabin fever around this time of year). . . i did live in NYC for about a year - upper west side - and enjoyed it (but felt exhausted all the time)

upstate the air is cleaner and the pace is more humane!

NYC = always rushing..and never knowing why(even if you have all the time in the world)

and everyone thinks they are the shit.

actually my favorite part of living in NYC was my address - it was, i kid you not, 666 West End Ave. (actually kind of creepy - but cool)

jersey will forever be the worst fucking state in the country.
