Was the boogeyman naked or something?

I came back from my lunch break today, and the 2 women that were covering me asked me to come over to the computer to check out this picture, so of course I did. I smiled and said "yeah, thats really cute". The picture was of a daddy and his probably 6-8 month old baby boy in the bathtub...it was just adoreable, rubber ducky's and all. Well turns out that they didn't want me to see it because they thought it was cute, they were asking another opinion on whether to report it or not. Of course most everyone knows that in photofinishing if we see anything questionable, child pornography, rape, beatings, murder, hate crimes, ect. that we have to report it to athorities. I just looked at them both like they were fucking insane and it took the store manager to agree with me that they were being ridiculous before they let it go.
At my job the photo techs have the right to not print ANYTHING we find personally offensive. One of the women won't print anything with nudity... Not an ass cheek, a boob, nothing. Now I can't say a damn thing to her about it because apparently she finds these things "personally offensive" Me, on the other hand, I'll print anything but pornograhy...some will argue, but I just can't see nudity alone as "pornograhy". My question from all of this is, what the fuck is wrong with people? Why is nudity so "wrong"? When did a daddy and his baby in a bath tub together become "child pornography"? Personally I think it's sweet. Even my own Mother has tried making a deal about this with me recently. On Christmas my Grandparents were talking about some of my photos, and my mom butts in and says "Oh, did you know Heather does nude photos of people too?", like it was gonna get me in trouble or some shit. I have no problems taking nude photographs of people. They can be really beautiful, yeah? Why does this have to be an issue? Why can't I understand it? WHY DO PEOPLE SEEM TO BE AFRAID OF NUDITY?!?! Of course I'm not saying that we all should run around naked all the time, that would be crossing some lines that I WOULD understand....but I just don't get why some people are how they are about it.

I'll bet it has something to do with the Catholic church:eek:

Marroe, your accusation that the Catholic Church has anything remotely to do with the outcry against nudity is insulting at best. The fact is, nudity itself is sinful and evil. The Virgin Mary could give birth without removing her cloth OR being penetrated by a.... penis, so why does everyone feel the need to strip down to their wicked, wicked flesh all the time?

God made those Spanish kids for a reason... to risk life and limb to provide us God-loving Americans with the cotton shirts and khaki pants that we are priviledged to wear.

Nudity is a funny word in itself. Don't ask me why, I just think it is. So, is paranoia. Anydoodle, why is it that because of what someone does everyone has to deal with some kind of consequence? Like nudity, those sick fucks who make child pornography make it so that naked pictures are considered bad. When I was pregnant I thought about taking a picture of myself naked to show just how big my belly was but, I was just too self consience and i'm married to a man who wouldn't ALLOW that kind of thing. Yeah, right. If I was to take a picture of me and my daughter in the bath tub together would someone think that it was some kind of child pornography? That's fucked up. I agree that it is beautiful. People just see the world a lot darker than I'd hoped. :(

Going to any Catholic Church should be a sin but that's another story.

people are kinda mind-fucked in my opinion. If you ever want photos of you, or you and that beautiful baby, you know who to call. We'll see what the hubby has to say about it when he see's how beautiful they are.

I just can't understand this...I do photo's of mothers topless with thier newborns on their chests all the time, and those are some of the best shots I have ever seen. How can anyone see it as a bad thing? There doesn't even have to be anything really showing, and people still wanna have a cow over it.

I'd like to see that, do you have a photo? I've always wanted to try clay, but I don't think I have the patience for it.

From the Renaissnace onward, artists have been using the naked body as a focal point for their work. Artists have long viewed the human body as a work of art. Look at that famous piece by Da Vinci... can't think of the title, but it's the one with the naked man standing spread eagle.

I'll tell you something else too, goddamnit, those women weren't ultra skinny-minnies. They were vuloptuous, curvy, and soft. I don't mind women who are built, or naturally slender. That's really pretty. I hope to achieve the muscular look myself. However, this little concentration camp look has got to go.

H, you do naked photography? How come we haven't seen any of your art? Oh yeah, fuck the people you work with. Fuck 'em right in the ear. Stupid fucks.

sabersword 12-30-2005 08:32 AM

nude.

Marroe, are people more sensative now and, do they find things offensive? Are the politicaly correct really interested in the welfair of man? Deep down, I think not. I think people like to bitch and cause problems. Have I become jaded and angry, oh ya! I can not even talk to people at work even in a joking manner without fear of loosing my job.And by the way its happend.
