Wanted: Spider walk scene from The Exorcist
I was wondering if anyone has a link to the short sequence with "The spider walk" scene :(

Why oh why did they not keep that scene for the original release of The Exorcist?
I'm sure you can find it somewhere on the internet. Just type in," spider walk Exorcist" or "Exorcist spider walk." |

Haunted: yeah....I've tried that for a week now...searching high and low...unfortunately with no luck :(
Zero: Yup....I just hoped some in here had the clip lying somewhere on their hd. ;) |
You have the DVD, don't you? If so, just cut the clip on your computer (if you have a DVD drive) and save it. Highly illegal, but it'll satisfy your needs.

Alky: It's unfortunately the wrong version I have....maybe I should buy myself a christmas gift :)

Yeah, in the "Version you've never seen," you get a couple of clips of Captain Howdy himself. (Where's Vod when you need him?)
 I just had an idea. Go to www.scaredyet.net and ask the site master if he can help. He's a member here, though he never comes by, because he doesn't love us as much as he should. Actually, his wife just had a baby (yay Vod)! Anyway, tell him, that Haunted sent you. Aside from his love of The Exorcist, his site is pretty cool to browse through. |
it's not in the original because in the context of the movie it feels way out of place where they had it. It's a cool scene by its self, but it didn't fit where it was in the movie, and I can't think of any other places where it would've worked.

I see your point. That situation flows better in the book. I guess I was thinking more along those lines, because I just reread the book for the millionth time.
*Spoiler* Don't look down unless you have already read the book. In the book, she actually follows Sharon around in the "crab walk" as the author described it, licking her ankle. That is actually the scariest book I've ever read... Well besides 1984. |
