Can you believe they're remaking this? And with Renée Zellweger!? I think squinty will turn this one into a bomb.

Alright! Just what we needed. It's really about time for Hollywood to get over this Asian horror fetish they've been pushing for the past few years. I'm just waiting for them to remake Uzumaki... :rolleyes:

Hopefully it will, just so it can join the recent remakes like The Grudge that have bombed. This will only help 'hollywood' realize it isn't profitable so they can stop.

Didn't the Grudge do fairly well at the box office though? Maybe I'm thinking of something else, but I seem to recall it having a decent showing. I know the theater was full when I went to see it.

Wow...I can't believe they're remaking this one...I just bought it about a month or so ago.....Of course, I suppose it really shouldn't be surprising, considering the recent trend to Americanize these movies...ie: The Ring, The Grudge, Dark Water....Now I'm just begining to wonder what's coming next, where it will end, or if it WILL end......I kinda hope they keep going with it

I liked the remake of The Grudge. Tom Cruise is behind this one...that kinda scares me.We shall see.

The Eye should defo remain original, unfortunately the complete lack of ideas hollywood monster will continue to feast on the best of the rest. Only a matter of time before 'Battle Royale' is re-made with freddie prinz jnr as the lead

Honestly I didn't keep up with the box office :D. But I do recall it being pretty slammed.
