Movie about a giant snake man
 

Okay, I saw this movie on television about one year ago, and I am trying to figure out the name of it. I distinctly remember the film I saw on television went like this: a boy was having nightmares about a big snake creature, and a psychologist/therapist helped him face his nightmares, his mother was not dead, and I remember that she dated his psychologist/therapist; maybe, but I know she dated someone who helped her son. I distinctly remember that there was a scene, of where the man was in the boy's room with him, and the man was standing near the window, then the big snakelike creature came into the room through the window, but something killed it, I can't remember what. The snake resembled a giant cobra man (more snake than human). That is all I can remember. Does anyone know what this movie is?
