The Thing or The Howling?
 

I'm ordering a couple DVD's from DeepDiscount. Which of these two is better? And tell me why your choice is better. I'm only buying one and I've never seen either. Reasons, please.

John Carpenter's The Thing or Christian Nyby's The Thing (from another world)...

Oh what am I saying, I'd choose either of those two over The Howling. I'm not big into werewolf movies.

Although if you pick either The Thing or The Howling, The Thing From Another World is only like, 7 bucks at the local Walmart, so I'd recommend getting that either way you go.

More horror, without a doubt. A lot of people criticized the movie at the time for "showing too much".

That definitely benefits horror fans.

The Thing is the best movie!
I watched it without expecting anything and was blown away.

Well they are different genres to be honest. The Thing is more sci-fi. But I can see you have already decided on what you are going to buy BUT to be honest The Howling is a werewolf movie to own so get it when you get the money.

I have both of them so you are not going to lose either way. :D

I'd have to agree with Ritualistic.
I've got both in my collection as well. I do prefer the Thing myself but both would be a great addition to your horror film collection.
