Just finished watching the Simpsons, I think this was an older episode that was rerun. It had to do with gay marriage. Now I know that the Simpsons deal with some subjects folks find offensive and gay marriage does not offend me.

BUT why the hell is there a disclaimer at the beginning of the show saying parental guidance is suggested because this episode deals with gay marriage.

This in and of itself wouldnt bother me, I didnt let my kids watch it. Not because I dont want them to know about gay marriage or gays in general its just that they are 4 and 6. I dont want to have to explain that shit to them right now. I want them to be kids.

Now to what really pissed me off. Last week was an episode about the rapture. The christian idea that people disappear and the rest of us are left behind to deal with the apocalypse.

I have no problem with that either, my Wiccan beliefs are well known in my house, and I am certainly tolerant of other religions.

What I want to know is if they are going to run a disclaimer about gay marriage, why is there no disclaimer about the MF rapture. I have to explain that shit to my kids. THey are pretty smart and ask alot of questions.

It just kind of pisses me off gay marriage which IMO affects noone gets a disclaimer and an episode that may potentially scare the crap out of a kid doesnt.

Maybe I am crazy but it just seems like another example of the right wingers totally out of control.

i understand what your talking about, im only 16 and ive watched the common cable tv get worse and worse just as i go through the years, I know im scared to think of what my children will see (that is is whenever i have children) on tv late night when im older. As for me though i like the gore and stuff and I hope that stuff doesnt ever end, with the way things are going i doubt they will, probobly will be more.

The Right wingers have been out of control since the birth of america. The right pretend the left is the weak/soft party but who the one crying over gay marriage ? or censoring every program and has full control of the FCC. I can't stand censorship. it makes the first amendment useless. As long as they can have guns because they are pussies that can't fight fair.

The right has enough balls too kill our troops in a unjust war that over half america doesn't agree with but "Oh shit! The Simpsons are talking about gay marriage! Its going too make our children gay and how am I going too explain too my child what gay is". They want full control over everyone and everything. No wonder everyone hates us...

Don't get me wrong, both sides are fucking idiots! but the lesser evil is the left wing.

Now I use to be a Christian, and I have to tell you, it things just like that that turned me away from that religion. I mean who the fuck gives you the right to tell me, 'oh this is evil' so therefore nobody should be able to look at this, hear this, read this, do this..etc. Now I do have some really good Christian friends who are totally not like that, and they respect the fact that I don't agree with them, which is awesome, but then I did know Christians who are like that, and have this whole 'I'm holy than thou' mentality.

If you're worried about explicit information and gore, what in the HELL are you doing at a horror website? What Creeper is talking about is how the right wing dickheads of American are increasingly becoming more "involved" in everyday life, whether we want them to or not.

I don't need Billy Graham (for example) to tell me what to watch on tv or dictate what I am exposed to within my culture. As a matter of fact, Billy Graham can go fuck himself right in the ear.
