Metamorphoses

I got bored and read Ovid's "Metamorphoses", has all the old Greek stories in it. I'm sure a bunch of you are already familiar with the characters (Icarus, Hercules, Bacchus) but some of these would turn into some pretty cool modern adaptations (or already have).

Anybody else read this old, old book?

I'm startin' to get pretty geeked about em'.

There's a bunch of great stories. The fall of Icarus and the Arachne stories are hilariously awesome. Nobody ever completely dies, they either turn into animals or stone.

Its a weird evolution when I think about it, the Greek gods and the Christian God. Omnipotence and revenge to eternal love and understanding...
