I love Dave Grohl and think he's great but his drumming is too one sided. In other words... he plays to much. but He's still one of the best

Ringo Starr is a perfect drummer
The dude from Tool is CRAZY. The shit he does seems impossible.

and Jess Margera.... no

Its true that he is a good drummer but as you say most people remember him as being the guy who ruined Genesis.

I was watching Live Aid [ a christmas gift ] and its kind of disturbing how he tried to turn it into "The Phil Collins Show", what with playing with practically every band [ I understand Led Zeppelin wouldn't release thier recordings for the DVD because of Phil Collins drumming ] and then Jetting to Philadelphia on the Concord to finish the show.

Sorry couldn't list just five..

And as far as Ringo goes sure I love the Beatles as much as the next guy and their music will always stand the test of time, but I don't really find Ringo to be a technical player..

before, (and after) Toto the members were a group of session musicians.
Porcaro has probably played with more people than we've ever heard of ...

The unsung/unknown session musicians are often the best in the business .. they just dont want to be nailed down to one sound or a band commitment.
