I know I will spell this wrong, Rickenbacher.

LOL Urge...

Our old keyboardist actually had a Rickenbacher 4-string that was really nice...

About how much did yours cost Creeper? And does it have he crazy over-the-strings pick gaurd thing that ours had?

I recommand a epiphone, probably a Thunderbird. It has two fat humbuckers. So you'll get a really big sound out of it (great for metal)
There not too much money

If you like punk style bass tone. you gotta go with a fender
any Jazz bass. (MAKE SURE ITS NOT MADE IN MEXICO). Japan is fine

Rickenbackers make great guitars, a lot of money though. You can't go wrong with anything made in u.s.a. The pickups are alittle weak (for me). So you might not get the tone you want.
But it will be high quality. Its more for old school rock.

Also Musicman, makes GREAT bass guitars (some of the best). You can get a cheaper model... for 700. But trust me, they have great tone and good fret action. active preamp, and 2 band eq (not shitty EQ, good sound. )

Don't get a Rogue, Ibanez, Esp,Squier, or peavy
some schecter, Warwicks are good

Sorry for the long post. Bass is always underrated

My Rickenbacker always had a tinny sound to it that I never quite liked. My Epiphone was so-so, but felt like it weighed a 1000 pounds. I had 2 Corts that were basically Peavey knock-offs at best. I can't remember what the one I painted over and have hanging up in my bedroom now ever was (Hondo maybe ?). The only one I actually liked was my 5 string Ibanez Rd-gr, which now calls a pawnshop home (most likely to be joined by my old Ampeg tube head and Peavey cabinet in the near future). There were a few other no-names over the years, but these are ones I remember at the moment.

I think we decided...we fell in love with a Fretless Warwick today at guitar center...

The smoothest sound ive ever heard....plus, now we can use both of our basses instead of just replacing the 4 string we have now.....

Thx for the suggestions guys...
