Hardees' New Monster Thickburger: 1420 calories

ST. LOUIS — As many fast-food chains introduce healthier fare amid fears of being sued, Hardee's is introducing a hamburger with 1,420 calories and 107 grams of fat.
St. Louis-based Hardee's Food Systems Inc. on Monday rolled out its Monster Thickburger — two 1/3-pound slabs of Angus beef, four strips of bacon, three slices of cheese and mayonnaise on a buttered sesame seed bun. The sandwich alone sells for $5.49, $7.09 with fries and a soda. http://www.ajc.com/health/content/h...6bigburger.html |

Yeah, our burger situation in Fort Worth, Dallas, and all of north Texas sucks.
Whataburger is about the only thing here--even the Burger Kings seem to be closing. Personally, the cheese on McDonalds stuff sucks--and the slime-cheese at Arby's--SHIT! |

You think you have bad burger situation? We don't even have a fucking Burger King here! No Hardies, No Sonic! We got McDonalds, Wendy's, and Harveys.

Yeah, in this part of Texas, where the majority of the population is Hispanic, we do have some GREAT taco joints--and not just the chains; Taco Bell, Taco Casa, and Taco Bueno either.
But strangely enough, the most popular everyday restaurants are Chinese , And generally oriental. We Mexicans have taken to tofu, sweet and sour, fried rice, etc. like a duck to water. |
