Movie's Greatest Monsters!
It is a dark and stormy night (really it is...it's raining like hell right now) and I have monsters on my mind, so I ask you fellow fans...who or what ,do you think, are the greatest monsters in movie history? Creatures of the night? City stomping giants? Man-made monsters? Knife weilding psychos? My personal favs are listed below..looking forward to seeing yours.
1.Dracula-Lugosi and Lee I think are the two best, but Langella did a fine job...hated the Francis Coppolla film. 2. Godzilla-Okay I know these are corny and silly films, but I still love them....hated the American remake. 3.King Kong-A true classic (RIP Fay Wray) I'm curious to see what Peter Jackson will do with it. 4.Creature From The Black Lagoon-Just great B-movie fun..and Julie Adams was hot. 5.The Wolf Man-simply an excellent movie. 6.Ghosts- From "The Haunting" to "The Others" nothing spookier then things that go bump in the night. 7.Frankenstein's Monster-But only the Universal one 8.Freddy Kruger-Some of the films were a little silly, but the original still packs a punch. Thats it for now, Happy Halloween everyone. |
I really like the knife weilding psychos.Jason and Michael Myers are my 2 favs.Zombies are definately #2, RotLD, the Romero trilogy, and 28 Days Later are my favs in that genre.

No disrespect to the modern slashers and stalkers and such, but I've always liked the older ones. Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, the Mummy, the Wolf Man, the Creature From the Black Lagoon, the Invisible Man, the Phantom of the Opera, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

I shall say
I love:
Lugosi as Dracula Karloff as Frankenstiens monster Chaney Jr as the Wolf Man and Fulci's highly detailed/highly rotted Zombies |
