I dont get it..Im not a mod on any site..:(
Anyhoo, I was just wondering how you guys get to be Mods..I mean is there like a certain amount of posts or summat?

idk modding would seem to be fun though..

that's what I'd like to know. Everyone knows I'd make a great mod, but it just doesn't seem to be happening.

If she needs another mod, AMK will ask someone. I don't think it has anything to do with post count, other than the fact that she probably wouldn't pick a newbie, ya know.

'Mod'ish qualities sites often look for...

-Online a lot
-Able to be fair & courteous
-Able to be strict and disciplinary, if need be


That's probably about it, there might be more though... What do I know, I'm not AMK...

u also hafto be careful not to randomly ban people, or accidentlly ban the wrong person

also, you have to have the patience to not just delte a whole thread and ruin the discussion, but rather ban the person fucking it up and/or delete the parts that are innapproriate or give warnings

also allow freedom of speech. that would be the biggest part.

It was more out of nessesity, now that the issues have been taken care of, its not as big of a deal anymore....

Modding isn't nearly as glorious as you people seem to think, and im sure AMK can contest to this, i spend far more time just moderating threads than actually posting.....i DO have alot of forums to manage tho so....

I am a mod for yahoo group and I myself dont like the job.... good to know that you laidback posters who are mods now got the job :D

Ya it actually works out when there are alot of bullshit threads on the board (like recently) that i have no interest in posting on, then i can just go around cleaning house a bit...
