I start school tomorrow. :( School from 8-3 then work from 4-7. I'll miss you guys and I'll still be on as much as possible.


when does everybody else (students...) start school?

college start august 30. but 2 of my classes are online and the other 2 are with my best friend. all are really easy classes too

im sad to see summer end but its time to move on and better things are on its way!! something quite strange actually debating on whether or not to makea thread on it. oh well u'll all find out eventually ;)

School is going to be better this year. Im not a freshman anymore, all the assholes are gone, i have better classes, i have more friends, and i have more of a chance of dating someone. Anywho we start September 10th or something. Our schools poor

I graduated College in 1971--but I still take another course from time to time.

I'm dead center of all of you, i graduated in '94.

Start me Phd in october.

Cant wait to go back to uni. This 'real work' stuff is poo. Want to be a student again.

im still im friggin primary school

I would rather spend the rest of my life busting my ass then ever go back to school again..... I occasionally go to 4 day certification courses (for propgramming and so-on), but no real school for me....Hate it, hate it, hate it.

One mistake mate........

School.........load of shit.....old fasion facist teachers who had no faith in me.

University (Phd).........can study what i want.......get paid a normal wage to do it.......student card = lots of cheap stuff (most particularly cheap flights).........and last but not least........cheap beer (and pool) right next to where i'm gonna work.

Hated school as well. But then found a lecturer who actually had faith in me. Now i'm doin a friggin Phd. Would have been in the forces now if the old bastards at school had their way (Not that theres anythin wrong with workin in the forces)

I would still rather wok any day :) I like my job these days. Im a programmer and a web developer, almost completely self taught. Every time i make something, i get 100% credit for it. :)

It is like workin anyway. You still gotta put in eight hours a day in the lab at least. Only think is you gotta work evenins writin up as well.

I'm jus gonna treat it like a job though cos if i get too stressed with things, i usually go down hill and i dont wanna be put in that padded room again (joke, joke).

Should be good. Gonna also do some night courses. Wanna do somethin like basic Spanish but also wanna do a course like web-design for beginners (if that exists). Always wanted me own website.

I did a degree in Physiology and Pharmacology

....a masters in Applied Biosciences (focussing on molecular neurology)

I'm workin in a developmental genetics lab at the mo.

My Phd will be in molecular neurology.

My recommendation:

Learn HTML and CSS, those are the two biggies. Javascripts are freely available. i always steal from other sources. 99% of them are free if you give credit to the original author.

i use ASP.NET for my stuff, but most of the content is basic HTML tied into CSS, but I use C# for all of the funxctionality. I wouldnt bother with ASP, ASP .NET, JSP or any of those other languages unless you are planning on doing forms, database stuff, anything really complicated. i only use it because i get paid $40k a year to do it :)

My first day went AWESOME. I have the best schedule in the history of time. 4 awesome teachers in classes that I care about. And even one reallly cute new male teacher.

And I dyed my hair dark brown and everyone (Including this teacher who half the girls in the school could sue for sexual harrassment if he wasnt such a nice guy) loved it. I'll post a pic.... not that anyone cares about my hair :D
