Dreamcatcher

First allow me to say that this movie SUCKED. I was so disapointed that they turned one of the King's books into such a shitty movie. Am I alone on this? The onlu movie I've seen as bad as this is "The Others". By the trailers I seen of this movie, it looked good. I was a fool to believe that.

Egekrusher 07-26-2004 12:14 PM

Ahhh, yes. This flaming piece of shit movie. I read the book first, and then I saw the movie. They trashed the book. Completely and thoroughly. They completely changed the ending as well. Duddits is NOT an alien. He is a retarded human that can somehow tie his thoughts into the great Beams to generate special powers. Whatever JACKASS changed that around should be shot.

Movie: Sucked

Shit Weasels: creepy but cool little bastards

Book : GOOD

Movie : SUCKED ASS.....shame on Morgan Freeman and Jason Lee FOR SHAME!!

Vodstok 07-27-2004 08:30 AM

Morgan Freeman has a lot to attone for. He was in a Jack Ryan movie with Ben Affleck as Jack......

bloodrayne 07-27-2004 08:38 AM

Aww...I didn't think it was THAT bad...I mean I have seen one hell of a lot worse...

I don't believe that a movie will ever be nearly as good as a book, anyway...ESPECIALLY a Stephen King book...Maybe the Hannibal movies come close...

I am always saying "Read The Book"...But, perhaps I should change that to..."Read the book, but NOT before you see the movie"...Maybe that way, instead of hating a movie because it isn't as good as the book...You could LOVE the book, because it is SO much better than the movie ;)

Vodstok 07-27-2004 08:40 AM

You are awfully freindly for a "Wicked Bitch" bloodrayne :)

carnage 07-27-2004 08:43 AM

See the movie and THEN read the book....GOOD IDEA..

Interview with the Vampire was pretty close to the book...NOT Queen of the Damned, however...

Queen Of The Damned was the combination of The Vampire Lestat and The Queen Of The Damned books. It was awful. It betrayed both books, and it never came close to being frightening OR romantic.

Exactly.......;)

I totally agree...this movie sucked ass. I did read the book before hand...I think that was my mistake. Now that you mention it, it probably would be a better idea to see the movie THEN read the book...but usually the books come out first and dammit I can't wait!

I think the reviews for the movie sucked too....can anyone remember?

Stingy Jack 07-27-2004 09:22 AM

Eh ... I started to watch the movie. But I couldn't sit through it. Never read the book, though. I thought (I've said this once, and I'll say it again) that Kubrick's The Shining was better than the book. The made for TV version sucked sticky assholes.

fluffho 07-27-2004 11:34 AM

i liked the movie. but i never read the book so i dunno. probably neve rwill read it either

Hate_Breeder 07-27-2004 11:56 AM
