Sleepaway Camp
 

After reading some pretty good reviews of the Sleepaway Camp movies, I decided to buy the Sleepaway Camp: Survival Kit box set a few weeks ago.
I really enjoyed the first two movies but I felt the third was lacking. All in all a good series.
Anyone else see these movies? What did you think?

Oh yeah, by the way... the first movie ends in what is supposed to be this crazy, unsuspected twist. Which would have been had I not read the back of the dvd set box. If you purchase this set and don't know anything about the movies, do not read the back until you've watched the first movie. Major plot spoilers lurk back there. ;)

Great little campy series from the 8o's I enjoyed them....

I hate it when an ending is spoiled for me. This one has been spoiled for me, but I still really want to see it. Saw it on sale once and didnt buy it because Im retarted like that.



Have you seen The Vanishing? That is supposed to have a super disturbing ending. I have been wanting to see this movie for about 3 years and I just cant get my hands on a copy. I think the ending has been spoiled (someone said it reminded them of the second short in Creepshow) but still, it is supposed to kick ass.

You should definately still see it even though you know the ending. It's still pretty unnerving. :)

I bought the set at Best Buy a couple of weeks ago for like 24 bucks. You can't beat that. ;)

in one of the sleepaway camps, did the chef get a pot of boiling water dumped on top of him and then he pretty much melted to the floor, cause if it is, then i liked them. bad memory...

Yep. He didn't exactly melt to the floor but he got burnt pretty bad. Pretty nasty. That happened in the first Sleepaway Camp.

Love those movies but ive never been able to find part 4 and its been out for awhile although everyone whos seen it says it sucks...also ive seen that they are making a part 5. Anyone know about either of these movies?

The box set I bought has movies 1-3 and a bonus disc of Sleepaway Camp 4: The Survivor. But it is only production footage because they never finished filming the movie. It's kinda hard to tell from the production footage but it really didn't seem that good. It only had three people. Some girl (not pamela springsteen), a cop and a weird hunter guy. Anyway, I bought the box set at Best Buy and I heard that the 4th disc only comes in the sets from Best Buy. Dunno why.

yeah i found out about the set with the fourth disc after i bought the one with only 3. I did hear that they finished 4 though and it was horrible but if you want to look into 5 check out IMDB.com
