Who dies the most spectacular movie death in a modern horror film? Personally I rate the lazer-net human jigsaw death in resident evil very high.

That or the military captain guy in Day of the Dead. "Choke on em! Choke on em!"

most of the gore stuff I've seen recently has good death.

The guy in 13 Ghost.When he gets cut in half by the glass doors.
The remake of course.

my favorit death scene is in a blade in the dark when the chick washing her hair gets stabbed suffocated beaten and throat slashed

Fucking hell!!! Ive just watched a good death. Film called "Satan Returns"-wierd little japanese number. Anyway, this demon-dude gets his hands nailgunned to a cross (life size jesus style). A molotov cocktail gets shattered all over him and it lights up and while hes running round (this takes place on top of a skyscraper) he goes over the edge straight into a jesus van!!! Barmy!!!

The decapitation in Wrong Turn-class!!! Average film, but class scene!!

It wasnt bad! It took me 4 attempts to watch it cos i always put it on after coming back from the boozer and falling asleep! Definitely inspired by SEVEN though.

I've just remembered about CANDYMAN. Now that's awesome - not the most gory thing I've seen but you still wouldn't want a hook in your back.

The death of the doctor in the new Salem's Lot was kind of a bad way to go. He fell thru the stairs and landed belly first on a running table saw.

We can't forget every death in Ichi the Killer. Great stuff. I also agree with the first scene in Ghost Ship and the human marrionette in Nightmare on Elmstreet 3.
