He also says that few people comment on the scene when he is stabbing his sister and he looks up at the knife as it plunges up and down. Like he is not controlling it. Suggesting that someone else is doing it. Possession.

And then we have the end scene when he falls from the balcony and vanishes. Carpenter says that he intended that to mean he had vanished, not gotten up and walked away. After that we see locations from the film and we hear Myers' breathing. This suggests that he is now everywhere.

I think there is more to this character than we realise. The mask suggests two people. One enfolding another.

Yeah, I think that explains it. I've always known that he never speaks. In the remake however he does. Always known him best by the original and how he's trying to track down his sister to kill her and stalks her slowly. I loved the second film how it follows from the first movie. Staring at the wall, looking through the wall. That whole quote stuck with me after watching it. He's evil and has been since he was younger. When his mask was pulled off of his face when he was younger, he was staring straight ahead and had this blank look on his face. He had no emotion or reaction. Just blank. Empty.

While I don't know who apple head fred is, I am happy to see that they may be recapturing some of the essence of the first one. Eeeeeeek!

He does speak once in HALLOWEEN. He calls a motor mechanic on the phone so he can steal his overalls. :)
