New horror game, 3:00am Dead Time [Now with the Official Trailer]

Hi everyone, we are very glad to join horror.com and it's community!

We are a small group of game developers who love horror stories and movies, and wanted to do our own take on the genre. We have been developing a horror game unlike any other since a time ago, called 3:00am Dead Time. On it, you control a team of paranormal researchers that go investigate paranormal phenomena from all over the world for the TV, unveiling mysteries, different stories, and facing the scariest (and sometimes deadliest) encounters, with everything horror, from ghosts and demons to aliens and monsters.

This year, we came back to development after a hiatus due to a lot of personal issues (that fortunately are well behind us now), and to celebrate we want to share with you a little look at our work, as we would love to know what you think about it :)

Well, this looks interesting. I hope it will have a scaring atmosphere and not too many screamers.

Not sure what I'm looking at in some of these photos. When is the release?

Thank you for your comment! And yes, atmosphere has been always the most important part for us while developing the game, and with that, the scares will come even if it is just something simple, like a light turning off.
The game is more about investigation, exploration, letting the heavy atmosphere, the sounds of the environment and the darknes sink in and scare you little by little, building up, instead of something popping up and going "Boo!" every five seconds.

We will share some more concepts here to show a little more of the atmosphere :)

And you can see more of the game here : http://www.indiedb.com/games/300-am-dead-time

Again, thank you for your comment, and best regards!

Thank you for the comment! The game is still in an early alpha, but we are moving quickly towards the beta stage, with a small release coming our way in the next months. We can't give an exact date of release right now, but we will be able to soon :)

The pictures are from several of the different investigations one can make in the game, and the ones with the girl are from the very first mission of the game, the one we are preparing the trailer for.

Here you can see some more info for the game, and more videos, but be sure to ask any questions you have, and we will reply and answer them :)

We have a small demo for a (quite) old version of the game. It was more a proof of the concept than a real demo, but a new demo for the game will be available soon. We can't give an exact date yet, but as an approximate, it will be before the end of this quarter :)

Here is the link to the old demo if you want to check it out !

That is what I like in horrors more than anything! Hope your project will become a memorable game among modern horrors.

Nothing showing up

Will this be a horror game where you have to do specific things in sequence to progress further? Such as to get across a chasm you have to jump from one rock out cropping to another and some of them are predetermined to crumble from a character's weight. Or to get past you'd need to find the angel's wings which are behind a secret door which you need to find a key which is gained by jumping at a certain spot, etc. In other words things would be designed so there is only one option to solve an event/events solved by what is often described in game keywords as 'puzzle.'

That sort type of game annoys me, having to figure out the very specific things the developers expect you to do to progress.

Hi there! While there will be a few puzzles here and there in the game, the game is more about investigation, researching a paranormal case, so the puzzles will give access to more information and will help to know more about the backstory but that in no way will limit the progress of the game or your ability to finish a mission. Besides, each mission is open ended, with multiple ways to finish a level, so dont worry :)

We want players to immerse in the atmosphere and horror elements of the game, and we know that would be very difficult if they have to be solving difficult puzzles at every corner, so we are trying to give more freedom to the players to explore, discover and finish the missions their own way :)

Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for your support! The game is currently on Steam Greenlight (as an early project, so your votes and support there will be very appreciated too) and we will also send it later in development to GOG.com for approval there, so of course we will keep this post updated :)

Thanks again, and regards!

I'm unable to find it in Steam's Greenlight. Tried using '3:00am' and 'Dead Time' in Greenlight's search engine. Also tried the forums, but there were to many messages and I am unable to search for a specific phrase.
