Whats the 1st horror movie you ever have seen? I remember when i was about 6 or 7, my moms boyfriend rented all the NOES movies except for the stupid one where he has a baby...

P.S.

i had nightmares for years!

KRUGERKID13 06-12-2004 12:30 AM

But my mom said she use to take me to the drive in and see all the re-released horror movies like children of the corn but i was way to little to remember

evil_blonde 06-12-2004 12:55 AM

i havent got a clue, but when i was like 5 i remember sitting at my babysitters watching this movie... most i can remember is like blood in the toilets....some shit like that

Hate_Breeder 06-12-2004 01:02 AM

Rebel Yell 06-12-2004 01:03 AM

The Invisible Man Returns.

When I was a kid my family went and saw Evil Dead and Nightmare on Elm Street as a double feature at the Drive In. That is one of my most awesome memories, and I was super tiny.

KRUGERKID13 06-12-2004 01:05 AM

rebel whats up its been awhile

that would be so awsome to see those both evil dead and NOES in the same showing

Rebel Yell 06-12-2004 01:07 AM

Not a lot, darling. I have been working and trying hard to sleep. Which I am probably going to do now. <3 What's up with you, sweetness?

KRUGERKID13 06-12-2004 01:08 AM

Vampenguin 06-12-2004 09:29 AM

I dont know for sure, but Im pretty certain it was either the original Dracula, or Frankenstien Meets the Wolfman.....could be wrong though

Arioch 06-12-2004 09:48 AM

i dont know....it had to be on TV because my parents wouldnt let me see a R rated movie till i was like 15:rolleyes: fucking ridiculous....

orangestar 06-12-2004 09:59 AM

Nightmare on Elm Street 2 at my friends house when I was about 10. Scared the shit out of me.

thEsounDofdirT 06-12-2004 10:42 AM

friday the 13th part 6
a nightmare on elm st. part 2
predator 2 (as soon as it came out... think it was in 2nd grade)
predator
aliens
the monster squad was fucking awesome
ghostbusters really pushed me in the direction

massacre man 06-12-2004 11:01 AM

jay o2 waster 06-12-2004 11:36 AM

Friday the 13th

Sam The Egg 06-12-2004 11:37 AM

Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, when I was five. Since that was no big deal, a couple weeks later I watched Halloween

bloodrayne 06-12-2004 11:42 AM

The first one that I really remembered, all the way through, was Carrie (at the drive-in), when I was 10 years old...But, I know that I saw some black and white stuff on the t.v. before that...Dracula, Frankenstein...Stuff like that

ShankS 06-12-2004 12:11 PM

this has got me thinking...

cant remember exactly but some of the old black & white Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee vampire films were some of the early ones I watched as a kid.

Some of the old Werewolf and Frankenstein ones would be in that list too.

:)

thEsounDofdirT 06-12-2004 06:46 PM

the first thing taht REALLY stuck with me.. i was like 4 and happened to flip the TV on USA... well the original nightmare on elm st. was on... and it was right at the scene where Tina goes outside ... i got all the way to the part where she's screaming like crazy and on the ceiling... and i was of course stunned and thrilled with terror... my mom heard the screaming... came in and yelled at me to turn it off... she told me "you can invite stuff in by watching things like that" ... that statement has stayed with me ever since... and has forever reinforced my love of horror :)

Arioch 06-12-2004 09:36 PM

LOL THATS BADASS!!!! You should sample that and use it in a song.....thats surreal...

thEsounDofdirT 06-12-2004 09:55 PM

that's not a bad idea at all.. richard d james (aphex twin) actually sampled his mom in a few songs...

i used it in a screenplay i wrote actually

massacre man 06-13-2004 08:21 AM

Rick James?

cheebacheeba 06-13-2004 08:46 AM

I'm not 100%, but the first 3 I have memories of are Hellraiser, critters, and the omen.
First time I saw it, at the time I woulda considered ghostbusters horror, but I think every kid should watch that...

King Diamond 06-13-2004 08:48 AM

No, ghostbusters sucked ass. I remember watching that at the auditrium is school, along with the Micheal Jackson thriller video.
My first movie I remember watching was "faces of Death" with my father. I remember the monkey brains.

massacre man 06-13-2004 08:48 AM

i cant remember it wasnt child's play i think it was uh Halloween that oen scared me to but not as much

carnage 06-13-2004 11:01 AM

First movie for me was Texas Chainsaw Massacure 2....vividly remember the scene with "grandpa" hitting the guy in the head with a hammer.

...and on a side note, Ghostbusters is a GREAT movie...

-->oscam5<-- 06-13-2004 12:17 PM

Mydad showed my the chesturster scene in alien when i was like, 8. That scared me so much!

Hate_Breeder 06-13-2004 05:52 PM

i dont either lol. Dont worry about it

zes 06-14-2004 05:14 AM

I think the first one I ever watched was Halloween III I mainly remember it becasue of that silly tune, otherwise it could have been one of the Friday 13th's or The Omen.

BudMan 06-14-2004 05:33 AM

The first movie I can remember to give me nightmares would have to be The Shuttered Room with Gig Young, Carol Lynley and Oliver Reed. Surely not scary by todays standards but when your a wee lad of nine it could give you the creeps.

Vodstok 06-14-2004 05:35 AM

First horror movie ever, I was 5, And the movie was ALien. That movie does weird shit to little kids

nine9 06-14-2004 06:06 AM

Well there were lots on TV......watched this chiller thriller horror movie thing every fri. night religiously!

At the theatre though, it was Burnt Offerings, my mom took me to see that at 7 or 8 years old..........sweet family movie that it was! LOL!

BudMan 06-14-2004 07:36 AM

Yeah nine, that was pretty good. Another Oliver Reed movie.I have a few years on you so I was about 17 when I saw that.

fattybluetit 06-14-2004 07:46 AM

You can't be very old then, if he got ALL of them but number 5. Because New Nightmare was made in like, 2000 or something.

I had no mother and I was a bastard, meaning I had no farther. I could watch WHATEVER I WANTED. I think Star Wars was my first movie, but I hated it.

EDIT: Freddy didn'y have a child, in Dream Child he invaded the Dreams of Alice's unborn son.
