Xmas Horror

I personally, have never been one to enjoy the holidays (self proclaimed Grinch).. but tis the season for Christmas-horror!

What is your favourite Christmas/Holiday-themed horror film?! I only know of a handful and am looking to broaden my collection this season.

Ferox13 12-03-2014 02:24 AM

I watch this every year:

Jack Frost is a huge guilty pleasure for me, so I would go with that.

tfantasy 12-03-2014 05:20 AM

A Nightmare Before Christmas is a tradition for me to watch every year on Christmas Day!!

Silent Night, Deadly Night is entertaining. Some people like Black Christmas.

I'm drawing a blank right now.......

This was OK, but really prefer the 1972 film version...Joan Collins is really good in there.
Kind of go the more traditional route this time of year with MIRACLE ON 34th STREET (1947) and IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946), but don't mind the occasional SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT and original BLACK CHRISTMAS.

What other time should you watch a film with a Killer dressed as Santa?

Indeed, It's a Wonderful Life is one of the best films ever made, so powerful. It has horror elements. And Miracle on 34th is a good film that doesn't hold back in a lot of scenes too; especially the fight between the betrothed. A few A Christmas Carol film versions pack a punch too.

I could not agree with you more, It's a Wonderful Life is incredible and I watch it every year for Christmas time. It makes you laugh, cry, and feeling disturbed by the idea of what life looks like if you have never existed. A true master piece!!

the one where bill goldberg plays an evil Santa. Mind you it's pretty crap. Bad santa is another one that isn't up to much either

Santa's Slay. Quite alright me thinks.

Manimal 12-07-2014 05:28 AM

Cool! Thanks for your input, peeps! My most recent watch was "Silent Night" (2012), a remake of the original Silent Night, Deadly Night. Gory, funny and entertaining to watch during the holiday season. I have many more to keep me busy now, thanks to you.

neilold 12-08-2014 12:26 AM

another is Krampus the christmas devil another to avoid. We must have differing standards Baron; which is ironic considering i love jersey shore massacre and i drink your blood:)

Baron Von Marlon 12-10-2014 08:43 AM

Holy shit, how awesome is this?!

Read about Krampus but it was nothing good.
But I'd still check it out if I had the chance.
Kevin Smith was supposed to make a Krampus movie too.

neilold 12-11-2014 12:40 AM

Manimal 12-11-2014 03:06 AM

YESSSS!!! Treevenge was awesome!! I loved this short film, thanks a bunch for the recommendation :D I think I'll make it an xmas tradition to watch this every year now.

Moviegirl80 12-14-2014 10:31 AM
