Creepy, Eerie, Vamp

My older brother gave me an entire plastic tote of old Creepy, Eerie and Vampirella comics. I'm loving them!!! They are from the early/mid 70's. Anyone else a fan of these? Just curious. Some of these stories could be made into horror movies easily.

Second only to EC Comics in my book. Really sustained the horror comic industry thru the 70s-80s I think.

I have a stack of them .. and a huge stack of Conan mags..

re EC - I have this big hardcover omnibus that's amazing..

I grew up reading Creepy and Eerie. Amazing art and lot of great stories. They kind of got in a rut at one point and I stopped reading them.

Bernie Wrightson is an amazing artist

Yes he is. Have you read Web of Horror? I sold a copy of the first issue a while back for $30.

Yes I have forget which issues but yeah cool stuff.

I had a bunch of these comics and sold them too I just ran out of space and they were starting to get damaged so it was good to see them go to a new home... plus it gave me more money to buy records.

went to a comic store today, looking for perhaps an Eerie or Creepy...they had one Eerie but I wasn't gonna part $50 for it.

I actually started buying Vampirella with the first issue ( with the Frazetta cover).I think I have virtually every issue, including the current series.
I have most of the Creepy and Eerie series.
Marvel Comics used to publish some excellent horror magazines back in the '70's, most notably "Dracula Lives", Vampire Tales", and " Legion Of Monster's".I loved them all.

Don't forget, "Werewolf by Night."

Of course, my favorite color horror comic was "Tomb Of Dracula" by Marv Wolfman (great name ) and the legendary Gene Colon.
And don't forget "Man-Thing"

Hey thanks for all the replies. I'd say that 75% of this collection is Vamirella, then Eerie, and Creepy only maybe 15 issues. Theres also a few Famous Monsters issues mixed in and Misc. comics. It's just really fun to go through these and look at the advertisements for "X-Ray Specs" lol.
I would love to get ahold of one of those old Creepy Tshirts with the white sleeves. Bet an original would cost ya a good $$$.

Haha yeah that was a nice touch.

Bernie Wrightson kicked ass, his work in the Creepshow comic especially was great.
I guess because it was only him, but it was great.

Your brother sounds like a great person doing all that for you! Have a lot of all of these, but they did start to run out of steam by around the 50th issue or maybe because I was getting older and finding more interests. Still love them, although Warren did a LOT of reprints especially after Archie Goodwin left. Some great artists there as well, like Tom Sutton, Aureleon (??), Bernie Wrightson, Richard Corben, Reed Crandall, Wally Wood, Steve Ditko, etc etc
