Pretty funny. I haven't seen any of these movies. It's hard to imagine any of them being scary. A couple sound like they might be exploitation films.

The Oily Maniac has got to be my favorite name of the bunch.

I haven't seen any of them either; but those titles are priceless. And it's good to know Dracula loves dogs. How about "Undead's Best Friend"?

I don't trust anyone who's never seen a John Waters film.

I've never seen Female Trouble, but I've seen Hairspray, Pink Flamingos, and Cry Baby.

Have you seen Female Trouble? What was that like?

Gorgo 05-15-2013 10:34 PM

I've seen 7 on this list.

Weasels Rip My Flesh is such a fantastically awful movie. I highly recommend that everyone see it. It's really a lot of fun.

Weasels looks like a good party movie, or Sci-Fi Theater 2000 movie.

You've seen 7 of these movies? Wow, I'm impressed! They seem so obscure. Which ones did you see?

Death Bed: The Bed That Eats

That makes me rofl everytime I hear it.

Toadliquor 05-30-2013 04:27 PM

Female Trouble is a good flick (if ya dig JW), but How is it a funny name and why do you have it listed as a horror?

LOL! That's hilarious. Sounds like a bed bug problem.

That's a very good question, Toadliquor. In our "HDC Presents: 100 Years of Horror" thread (it's in this post), someone included 'Female Trouble" in their list of 1970's horror movies. Who was it that considered 'Female Trouble' a horror movie? Maybe the poster who did will let us know.

The title 'Female Trouble' is funny if it's really a horror movie. Naturally, since one of our members included it in their list of 1970's horror movies, I assumed it was a horror movie. I try to give folks the benefit of the doubt.

Toad, what was Female Trouble about? Why do you say it's not a horror movie?

.

It's good if you like early john waters (Pre-Hairspray). YOu should check out Polyester, probably his best movie in my opinion.

I looked at imdb, and they did have Female Trouble listed as a Comedy-Crime-Horror, but Pink Flamingos is also categorized as a Comedy-Crime-Horror. Sure, the gaping anus scene was pretty horrific, but no way does it qualify it as a horror.

Any movie with a "gaping anus scene " is "horror" in my book

I'll have you know "Dracula's Dog" is the best vampire dog film ever made. (Probably the only one too, but I own a copy:)

I love the concept. So the dog is a vampire? So what Dracula's Dog about?

xX_StarChild_Xx 06-05-2013 01:43 PM

I imagine alot of people who see any of John Waters films pre-Hairspray would say they're pretty horrific. There's something disturbingly Fruedian/existential about being raped by a giant lobster, no matter how funny it may come across to people who are in tune with his sensibilities. Lol :P

JasonLuck 06-07-2013 08:34 AM

LOL Grapes of Death.......That sounds like a comedy more than a horror
