My username is based on that character from the Play The Ugly Duchess by Janet Munsil.

The character is based on the very ugly midieviel monarch of Tyrol named Margaret Maultacsh. She was very ugly but highly desired for a political marriage.

The ill fated Gothic and highly desired ugly monarch is usually played by the playwright's husband.

I based both my username and a costume on this character.

This wasn't my original screen name. When I changed it to hammerfan, someone - I can't remember who it was (it may have been newb or urge) - posted a picture of MC Hammer. :D

Sent him the title song of The Neverending Story (by Limahl) as a tribute play on NEW Radio 3-4 years back. Thought it was the basis of him choosing the name for his radio station as well.

I like the movie, but it had nothing to do with the name of my website or username.

Mine is from a thing I read about Stevie Ray Vaughan being the "Real Deal" years ago when I was first learning guitar and playing the Blues. So, I put it together because to me Blues is the Real Deal, you don't need technique or have to be able to play 50 notes per second, it's all heart and soul.

I usually think about using a different username related to the forums I visit, but I have probably 10 different places I visit quite frequently and it would be too hard to remember 10 different usernames.

Mine came from something I made up in ISS in 7th grade. I drew a picture of an ice burg with an ice pick sticking from the top and the top laying in the ocean and it said chip off the Ice Burg. I made an AOL s/n called Ice Pik and just started using it for ever user name,

I was 13 and I loved fridays. Actually at the time Friday The 13th was my favorite movies. Also I was 13.

I asked some people for some help for a store name and picked this one, named my store it and used it for my forum name lol :)

My middle name's Merritt. I used to go by MerrittTYPE, but I've always been intrigued by mercury, the element and the symbolism.

Merritt isn't exactly the most appealing name, but my great uncle whom I was named after was amazing. Fought in the Civil War as a forced recruit for the Union. He only joined after the recruiting Union soldiers massacred all the men of the Laurel but him. They wanted him dead, so they made him a flag runner, no weapons. He ran through 13 battles without getting shot once. However, he had to replace the flag 10 times due to bullets ripping through it.

So, I wanted to be a type of Merritt, like a doppelganger of my uncle, but Merrcury works well with Hermes being the Roman god of Mercury.

I got my name from the fact that I have a great love for werewolf movies and the fact that all of them are nice and gorey! another reason is that I like seeing how they do the transformation and what the end product is I have only found one good trasformation and end product being realistic so far and that was in trick r treat instead of the hair growing out from the body or the skin ripping off the girls themself's were takeing the skin off and the fur was underneath!
