Best lycanthrope movie

Well the topic's pretty self-explainitory. I'm simply posting this because last night I finally got around to renting and watching Gingersnaps. I must say it was the best movie I'd ever seen on the topic...which honestly isn't saying much..but it was great. Any other opinions?

KRUGERKID13 05-26-2004 09:38 AM

Ginger snaps is my favorite movie of al time so i agree with your statment.

Other great wolf movies are :
Dog Soldiers
American Werewolf In London

Ginger Snaps

bwind22 05-26-2004 12:33 PM

Gingersnaps is good.

I also liked The Howling.

Silver Bullet is alright.

The best movie to ever contain a werewolf has to be Monster Squad though. ;) That's a classic.

MichaelMyers 05-27-2004 01:29 PM

Dog Soldiers.

Pretty much what I think... In the end, Ginger Snaps has some great concepts behind it, which is always good... Besides that... Well, Silver Bullet is OK, and so is An American Werewolf in London...

allmykids 05-27-2004 11:19 PM

Isn't true that there is a Ginger Snaps 3 that is going to be out soon??? Is there anybody with info about it???

StaggerLee 05-28-2004 07:13 AM

I don't remember ever seeing any good werewolf movies...

I think it's a bit misleading to call werewolfs lycanthropes, because basically the word means a person who sufferes from a disease called Lycanthropy. this disease makes a person think that s/he's turning into an animal, not necessarely a wolf, but some animal like a bear or a bison.

newb 05-28-2004 07:22 AM

ly·can·thrope ( P ) Pronunciation Key (lkn-thrp, l-kn-)
n.
1. A werewolf.
2. A person affected with lycanthropy

^ From dictionary.com ^

Dog Soldiers
Werewolf in London
Gingersnaps
The Howling
Teen Wolf !!???!!! jk:D

StaggerLee 05-28-2004 07:30 AM

I could give you a link to site that talks about other animals too, but it would be useless because it's a finnish site...

Vampenguin 05-28-2004 06:18 PM

I hoestly coulnt care less about Ginger Snaps, I havent seen it, but it looks really stupid. My votes are on: Underworld,
The Wolfman(1941)
Van Helsing
Frankenstien Meeets The Wolfman
I love those movies....I think Hellboy should have had a warewolf, that would be sweet

... Staggerlee is correct it can be a wereboar, werebear etc...

The Howling was ok as was Gingersnaps (But not as good as people say, at all), but in general werewolf movies are not very good!!!

Shade 05-29-2004 08:22 AM

I've heard about a Ginger Snaps 2. Does it exist and is it any good...at all...? Almost afraid to ask.

Vampenguin 05-29-2004 09:08 AM

Well, i know it exists, but I havent seen it( or the 1st one)

KRUGERKID13 05-29-2004 07:16 PM

Yes the second one rocks and the third will be out in september.

nine9 05-29-2004 07:21 PM

Just saw the second one, and yeah, it was good!

What is the third about? Anyone know?

Plaguewind 05-30-2004 07:02 PM
