what is your fav death scene in a horror film

mine is when the lawyer in 13 ghosts gets split in two pieces

everything in oh fuck whats it called???? ahhhggghhhggghhhh..... um um um um um..... aha FINAL DESTINATION! yeah and final destination2 like when that guy gets squished by a falling bit of concrete or whatever, something to do with pigeons...

Personally, I liked when Viktor got his head chopped in half near the end of Underworld. But i read in the newspaper that there was some big survey about "BesT Death", and Physcos shower scene won.

I was thinking the rave scene in Jason X, but Jay's is alot better.

I just love in TCM how you just dont see it coming, then he turns around, leatherface is right there, nails him in the head with the mallet, drags him in, and slams that metal door. The door is just so intensely slammed, and when you hear it and see it, you know the rest of the movie is going to only get more brutal

My favorite death scene is in Final Destination 2, when the barbed wire splits Rory into three pieces and they just slide off each other. Its pretty sick.

That is a pretty good one.

The Preston/Brandt 'fight' from Equilibrium
The first prisoner's death from Versus

i like it when peoples heads explode. that is always a cool way to kill someone

i like 3
annie,bob, and lynda in halloween (stabbed in car while michael sits in back seat) (michal hides in closet then pins bob to the wall) (michael wears bedsheet and chokes lynda with phone cord)

also in part 4 when he rips off earl's face


the annie one still makes me jump sometimes

Maybe the scene in the Elm street VI when freddy plays video game and kills the poor guy

Well some like the newer Ghost Ship, and some don't but that scene in the ballroom.......... I rewound it over and over.... so cool, loved how they did that, and the atmosphere! It will always stick out in my mind.

Also liked a lot of the death scenes in the Omen, like when the Journalist gets sliced in half by the glass....... I must have a demented thing about that....... sick person.....slap slap.

there was also the dance explosion in van helsing

the kung fu priest guy that "kicks ass for the lord" in Dead Alive, in particular the scene where he kicked the guys head and legs off

that scene in hellraiser 3, in the boiler room where pinhead kills all thise people with the chains and many other tools

I'd have to say in Halloween 2 when Michael scalds and drowns that bitch to death.

with all the foam coming out of her mouth and the skin coming off, that was a good scene

that one was awesome too!

Amen. The slamming of the door gives me goosebumbs just thinking about it. It just happens so fast and is so fucking BRUTAL. Hell yah, best death scene ever goes to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, nineteen hundred and seventy four, of course.

You're not demented, that was fucking awesome. Clean slice, and the head does a couple of little spins and flips, doesn't it?

Oh, I also love the brutality of the kills in the original Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead when they just rip living people to pieces. Best one is towards the end of 'Day' when that guys still living and screaming and they rip off his head (slowly) and then continue to tear open his stomach to get at all his organs. Yummy.

The glass decapitation of the Journalist in The Omen
The arrow thru Kevin Bacon's characters neck in Friday the 13th
The stabbing of Bob from Halloween
The triple decapitation of the paintballers from F13 VI: Jason Lives
The thumb thru the forehead of the paramedic in Halloween 4
The death of Rhoades in Day of the Dead
The death of Stephen in Dawn of the Dead in the elevator

Those are just off the top of my head theres tons more.

It's possible, but I think it was just a really fucking cool way to kill him, while at the same time cutting the guns out of his jacket so's he could get to them to fight Father

's a toss up between the end of saw, mainly cuz it left you hanging, and the dude being covered up in wax and left for dead, sadly no one really liked either of them, so i'm on my own :rolleyes:

My fav is when Micheal comes out of that closet thinger and staps the dude with the glasses up against the wall. then he looks at him. so cool.

That little kid getting crushed by the glass in Final Destination 2.

He just crumpled like a wet bag of leaves.
