The 7th Annual HDC Awards 2011
Good eveninggggggggggg folks,
A big HELLO and warm welcome to all of you! Welcome to the 7th Annual HDC Awards, 2011 version. As you all know, these Awards are given out every year for your various contributions towards our infamous virtual home on the net - Horror Dot Com. This year, the lull which struck our forums since 2009 continues unabated, while sites like Facebook have thrived and flourished with several of our former and current HDC members finding a better refuge there. But the topic of horror continues to be popular amongst the rest of us as we keep building on the foundations of our esteemed veterans who solidified the foundations of HDC. We went through several notable incidents all through 2011 - ____V____ disappeared for a good 5 months, Elvis was unjustifiably banned for life through no fault of his own, Spammers struck yet again with all their might, horror continued to ignore his emails/PMs, and ElGato did everything he could to counter several existing problems, created some new ones, and then solved those problems he created himself. Whew, what a roller coaster of a year! Doncha think? Coming to the Awards, I received a total of 23 entries, the last one was from Zero. No less than 366 votes were cast for 63 nominated members across 17 categories, which is ranked as second highest in HDC Awards history, beating last year's numbers! Way to go, HDC!
