most money you ever spent for a horror movie

For me it is defenietly Ginger Snaps 2 I absoloutly couldnt wait for so i ended up spending 80.00 on it not 8.00 but 80.00. IMO it was totally worth it not to mention i spent 30.00 on the first one

jay o2 waster 05-15-2004 03:04 PM

30.00 for the tcm remake 2 disc

Arioch 05-15-2004 04:39 PM

$25, anything more ill wait on...They almost always lower the price when initail sales fall off, ie. Freddy vs. Jason

MichaelMyers 05-15-2004 04:54 PM

30 bucks for Versus.

settdid 05-15-2004 04:57 PM

I spent $50 on evil dead 1. But it was the special limited edition one that came in a big book that looked like the book of the dead. Though i was sort of ripped off cause i have seen the same thing for $40.

also the Alien box set was like $115. But that is a 9 dvd set...so the value is there.

orangestar 05-15-2004 05:04 PM

I always wait for sales. So the most I have ever spent was $20.00 on Pet Sematary & Dawn of the Dead. I mean, I never ever ever buy movies for more than about $15.00. Those two were special. Very Soon I plan on buying Guinea Pig Devils Experiment /Andriod of Notre Dame Double Feature for about $30.00 but I'm seeing if I can get it cheaper.

Arioch 05-15-2004 05:04 PM

Personally youd have to pay ME to get me to watch ginger snaps again.....

kpropain 05-15-2004 05:06 PM

Not counting the Nightmare box set which I paid 80 bucks for and think was a good deal, I paid 25 plus tax for the Day Of The Dead 2 disc set.

Funny, I'm getting it off of Netflix for $20 :D

I just finished up getting the whole Trigun series, which is going for about $200 in stores here.

But most I've spent... I can't say more than $20. I'm a cheap motherfucker and always have to wait for a sale. Even if it takes several years lol

Well that's not true, for a special someone's bday  I had to buy Reign the Conqueror for $60.

I'm thinking about buying the Beavis and Butthead collection too, which is $60, but just haven't gotten around to it.

Sam The Egg 05-15-2004 07:43 PM

yeah, I netflixed the Trigun series not too long ago. *loves Netflix*

Good call!

Rotting Eye 05-15-2004 07:46 PM

oh I love it too, although it is a bit quirky.

At first I was getting one day turn around time for all three movies. Then it turned into two day for all three. Now it's more like one of the movies is one day turnaround, and two of them are two day turnaround.

Oh well, cheap is cheap.

fluffho 05-15-2004 08:09 PM

$0

Sam The Egg 05-15-2004 08:13 PM

really the only problem I ever had with it was when I was getting Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter. One disc was broken, and the replacement was in so bad shape it wouldn't play past a certain point. Other than that it's just been stuff being on long/short wait or OOP

*agrees w/ Arioch on Ginger Snaps*

Have you been drinking the sewer water, again?

Arioch 05-16-2004 02:16 PM

LMAO!!!

Devil7511 05-16-2004 03:18 PM

Wouldn't five words be after you wrote down the phrase "five words".

Anyways, When the Book of the Dead version of The Evil Dead came out here it was 50 bucks, that's the most I've ever spent on any single vhs or dvd. On a box set I paid 100 bucks for the Alien series.
