Happy New Year to all the fine guys and gals on HDC.

What did you all get up to?

For me... Myself, my wife, and 2 children went along to see the fireworks on Sydney Harbour.

Then we went home and cracked a bottle of Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque 2002 to toast the new year.

A nice start to 2012

Started on my first champaign tho. :)

It's 9 27 PM right now, on 31st night. Still about 2 and half hours to go for 2012.

And we had plenty of rain on the 31st! A first in quite a long time.

Can it be... no the thought is too crazy... you're both from The States?!!!

Considering that there are people from different countries and continents that post on here i don't think its that crazy that i expressed mild interest that not only are we both from the states but share the same time zone.

An extremely rare Saturday off work for me means I can work on some of my writing projects. This is excitement for me.

Happy New Year everyone! It's 12:03 pm here. I've been working on getting the house cleaned up for dinner guests tomorrow (my nephew and his new bride). Tonight going to a party at my friend's house, taking bacon cheeseburger rollup and making crab nachos there. Also bringing along fixings for chocolate martinis and Bailey's martinis. It's gonna be a good night! :D

9 am new years day here ,first new year sober ,my girl and mates went out partying,i stayed home and watched horror movies bymyself all night.i dont even feel like a loser.new years is overated,just another night on the piss really

the new years movies here were jackass ,apollo 13 and dead silence.dont really know what the fuck they had to new years but tonights movies armegeddon.for all those christian freaks who think its the end of the world soon i guess thats appealing

Well, the first morning of 2012 has turned out to be cloudy and gloomy. I sit here smelling the freshness of our garden with a hot coffee mug in my hand.

Looking forward to 365 days of fun-filled moments, and to cherish each one of them. Wishing you all the same, my mates.

First day of 2012 is looking good here. 34 degree (celcius) day, nice and sunny.

Spending the afternoon in the pool, and maybe a bbq a bit later.

I, along with my fiancee and two children, went to Sydney Harbour to watch the fireworks there - is always great to see (apart from the waterfall feature on the bridge at the end getting a little old).

Happy New Year to all hopefully 2012 will be a bigger and better year for everyone!

Yeah it was lovely, especially since we have had a pretty lacklustre summer so far. Lots of rain, and relatively few warm days. Hopefully January will have better weather than December did.
